T
his is for all mah boyeez out there who are wanting to see my new dubs. Got the wheels installed, and I even washed the car. The results are frightening (in a good scary way).
I also re-wrote the whole picture gallery navigation, structure and coding, so check it out. Just click on the pictures link on the menu, and when the page comes up, go to Auto Stuff>Miata Specific>Rota Revenge.
Or if you're lazy, I suppose you can go to the recent pix section in the left column. But then I'm gonna cry for making all this effort... sniff
Other stuff... The war continues, and so does the fairly disappointing amount of protests in the world. Again, I wish everyone had the right to voice their opinion so easily. Unfortunately, people in Iraq have been unable to due to rape, mutilation, and general threat of death by their loving ruler, Saddam. As for fears of American Imperialism, I would point to the many other countries we've invaded for more evidence of how strongly we "rule" them: Japan, Germany, France... 2/3 of which have proved to be obstinate opponents of this current war. Apparently we're not ruling them with enough of an iron fist.
Blissful ignorance, which I believe is a mainstay of a lot of people's lives, allows those people to be manipulted by people with less than honorable agendas. Those with "less than honorable" agendas can take many shapes, from governments to the groups that organize many of these protests. The truth is, the majority of the flag-wavers and the flag-burners really don't pay a lot of attention to the issues, nor do they make a huge effort to hear both sides of the story. They live by exceptions, sound bites, and peer opinion. The result is support for agendas they have little context or depth regarding. And its just depressing.
I think there are anti-war protesters with valid concerns, arguments, and points of view. Unfortunately I think they make up a ridiculously small number of the actual masses beating their chests out in the middle of streets around the world.
I just hope the protesters invest the same effort trying to rebuild a new Iraq that they're currently expending with (often) violent, disruptive and resource-sapping tantrums. (whoops, just lost my objectivity... =)
Not sure about the wheels, though. I really liked the polished look with that color blue. (Style Disclaimer: I have Alley Gator teeth in my grill.)
