Not to bore you with work stuff, but I'm gonna bore you with some work stuff. I've been tweaking a search engine for generic database word searches, and it's become a pretty highly tuned bit of code. I might have to re-purpose it for this site, not that there's anything worth searching for (except the pictures of me flexing in the mirror, sucking in "mah gut".)
But I digress. Let me tell you a little bit about Sunday. But first, a nice digression from Homestar Runner and Strong Bad (you know, it's new every monday...). Okay, you're back now and all warmed up for my funny stories. Sunday...Sunday...Someday... This last Sunday I went to a bridal show. I saw women parade around in fancy outfits (with NEW COLORS, never before available!). And I saw moms and daughters cheer and applaud. With a few days between me and the event, I can wax a bit more objectively on the whole affair.
  1. Shep owes me big time
  2. I'm never going to get married
  3. Wedding planning is like Crack for women
  4. I need a better camera
By the way, 2/3 of the women in that picture are already married, so going to these shows must serve as some twisted sort of cat-walk down memory lane. Creepy. To be fair, there were "guys" at this event, decked out in tuxedos and such. You'll forgive me if I didn't feel like taking their picture...
Metal parts are starting to arrive for my picture frames. Tonight I'm buying some plywood to cover the floor of my workroom. I need a chop saw, a drill press, and another workbench to put this plan in motion.
Hey! Steve McQueen's "Le Mans" is available for pre-order from amazon.com -- classic racing movie, I've been told. I signed up. I also ordered Donnie Darko, both the DVD and the soundtrack.
Oh yeah, I re-arranged the living room (again). Got to re-absorb the furniture getting kicked out of the new workroom.

You know you had a good time Sunday. What's better than going to a bridal show and being able to leave without having to plan a wedding? I can't think of many things....

Show some of the pics I sent you of the show!

I come to peoria for two things only: Women and more women!

Yeah, maybe not. Minus the "women" part though, that statement's pretty accurate.
Something rattling around up there?
