o in 24 days I tie the knot, and I'm just getting
the last straggler invitations in the mail. Hopefully one or two folks will be able to make it. I think the last thing left is music for the ceremony, which I'm highly skeptical of the need for. The pastor already nixed a Metallica guitar solo. Bloody Puritan.

Lately I've gotten some nice comments from a few of the actual folks who helped fight that recent fire in Bloomington. Heck, that could be some of them in the photos, for all I know. It's kind of nifty when you consider that the connection comes through this random website, which is hosted somewhere on the East Coast, yet I live probably 10 minutes from most of them here in town. I have a sneaking suspicion google or yahoo helped get them here. So to all you folks who are interested, let me know and we'll get you a CD. use the "contact" link on the top of the page.
All the interest in those photos prompted me to check on what photos and sections are most popular. About 3 months ago I added a little counter that tracks when each photo is viewed. All I have to do is query that counter to see what's hot and what's not. The fire photos are apparently (ha ha) hot. In fact, 8 of the top 10 images in terms of "most viewed" are related to that fire now. The two others are not shockingly photos with Sally in them, which only confirms my theory that you people are just interested in see something hot.
Sally and I checked out a Thai place (that's right Thai) that opened up a few miles away. I ordered my typically non-representative dish - chicken, rice, & peanut sauce, and IT WAS FANTASTIC. The place has a sort of down-to-earth feel, pretty homey. Sally was nonplussed about her dish (vegetables in hot water or some such nonsense), but hopefully we can go there again... soon. It might be a faster, cheaper alternative to Flat Tops. Can you tell I'm starving for a late lunch right now?
