he date was a whole lot like the miata with a bad coil-pack: No spark. Maybe it was because earlier in the evening, my BEST FRIEND was conspiring with my MORTAL ENEMY. Which reminds me,

what time are we leaving for the Auto Show? Mu ha ha.
Yeah, so the evening started earlier when I went to Morton (and I didn't call you mom. I know, I'm wretched) to see my old work cronies help send off a former co-worker. It was huge turnout with lots of people I hadn't seen in a while. About 4 times the number of people that ever showed up when I quit -- both times =) . All in all a pretty good event. I even drove the miata, because it had been so nice (what am I saying? Nice? It's friggin' February in Illinois), or maybe just dry lately.
About 7:00 pm I headed off to my date. We met at the Olive Garden (where everyone is family!), and I had my standard Chicken Pesto Ravioli. She had some strange plate of food, and we conversed. Like I said, no sparks. Nice, intelligent girl, but I got nada in the fluttery-heart dept. So we said our goodbyes and I went home. She called later to get my "honest opinion" and we talked for a while. I was honest.
There you have it. I did fire off some e-mails to respond to some people that have written recently. We'll see where that effort leads.
We're planning to leave for the show at O'dark thirty - picking Mike and dad up between 7 and 7:30AM Sunday. So be up and ready to rock by 8AM... Muhahahaha
We're all planning on getting some shuteye on the way up to C-Town (I've made the drive enough, I can do it with my eyes closed).
